This is another exiting feature of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, but, unfortunately, Samsung has not released the application for free though, a closely related app that does just that can be downloaded from the Play Store right now.
This application, Always-On Display feature app, appears first on Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge in the Samsung android devices and can be installed on other Android devices as well.
You might be wondering, inspite of the fact that the display would be always on, this app consumes less than 1% of your battery/hour, the reasons for that is best left for some geek at Samsung however; what I can say is that, this app inteligently uses the phone's sensor such that when the phone is face down or inside a pocket, it notices this and turns the phone screen off. This is a handy feature which is not limited to Galaxy phones only.
Glance Plus is the application that lets you enjoy the same Always-On Display feature of the Galaxy on other android device.
Glance Plus shows the clock, date, day of the week and the battery percentage. The app is customizable so you can choose different clock style (digital, analog), background brightness, and more.

There, you can change the clock position, text color, font size, content brightness, background brightness, screen timeout, weather, notifications and make few other changes.
Finally, to activate the app, tap the little dot at the top right corner.
