Android N Developer Preview for Nexus Devices Now Available | Download and Install

Earlier this week, Google released first Android N Preview Image for a few Nexus android devices. This came as surprise since no news of the Android N has been hard before especially, when no one is especting the Android Marshmallow successor anytime soon.

Meanwhile, it should be noted that the Android N is so early in the building phase that there is no name for it yet, though Nutella looks like the best candidate for the successor of Marshmallow -that, going by the history of Android Codenames.

Nonetheless, Google has released the first Android N Preview Images for a few Nexus android devices and the images are ready for download.

The available Android N Developer Preview image include for the Nexus 6P, Nexus 6, Nexus 5X, Nexus 9, Nexus Player and Pixel C.

How to Download and Install Android N Developer Preview On your Nexus Android

1. First, download the appropriate Android Developer Preview image for your Nexus android device from the link below:

Download the firmware on your computer. Then be sure that you have ADB drivers for your phone installed.

2. Connect your phone to your computer via USB cable.
Make sure that USB Debugging is enabled on the phone. Go to Settings >> Developer Options >> USB Debugging and mark it On
3. Open ADB tool on your computer and run this code to put your phone in fastboot mode.
adb reboot bootloader
4. Extract the Preview Image and double-click on flash-all. This will flash the Android N firmware, baseband, bootloader and all required files on your phone.
